About Me
My name is Layla. My background is that of an elite athlete, Cirque du Soleil performer, choreographer, and solo-world traveler. My life of training, performing and traveling was all ignited by a curiosity of the human experience, but it is my newfound respect for the internal journey that now shapes my work.
Initially, my professional journey focused on mentoring and training individuals in fitness, and I continue to offer that support to those aiming to enhance their physical well-being. However, as my life has evolved, I have become more passionate about encouraging individuals to look inward and to explore their mental patterns, emotional landscapes, and any physical pain they may hold. My approach emphasizes the importance of understanding one's own mind and past experiences, including the stories we create about ourselves and the traumas we carry.
My personal journey has also deeply influenced my work. After contracting COVID-19 and subsequently experiencing a severe allergic reaction to a steroid medication, I faced a debilitating chronic nervous system malfunction. My reaction resulted in about a year of intense insomnia coupled with a list of mysterious symptoms that shocked me to my core. Following this time period, I continued to deal with severe anxiety and post-traumatic symptoms tied to this experience, which ultimately caused me to continue to go deeper with my inner work. I feel blessed to have found a way back to my center and to feel both confident and fascinated by the body’s ability to heal. This period of intense physical, emotional, and mental pain has enriched my empathy and understanding, allowing me to connect with others on a profound level.
Combining my expertise with a compassionate and holistic approach, I am dedicated to helping others navigate their paths to healing and growth, honoring both the external and internal journeys that shape our lives.
